Why the consultation is different
Inviting someone into your home should never feel awkward, rushed, or uncomfortable.
If you've ever walked away from a contractor conversation feeling unheard, pressured, or talked down to, you're not alone. We hear it from women homeowners all the time. It's the reason a lot of kitchens and bathrooms stay the way they are for years.
So the consultation is built the other way round. You talk, we listen. Then we explain what's possible in your space, what it might cost, how long it takes, and whether we're the right fit. If we are, great. If we're not, you still walk away with clarity.
Services
- You pick the time. We take our shoes off.
Evenings and Saturdays are fine. Even if you're just at the thinking stage.
- We walk the room together.
You tell us what's bothering you and what you've been picturing. We mostly listen.
- We explain, plainly.
Layout, plumbing, cabinets, tile, what's easy, what's not. If something's a bad idea for your house, we'll say so.
- We leave. You get numbers in writing.
A few days later: what's included, what it costs, how long. Nothing hidden, nothing to sign that day.

What does it cost?
The ballpark ranges further down will get you in the right neighborhood. But a number picked before anyone has stood in your kitchen is a guess, and guesses either scare people off or disappoint them later.
What you get after the walk-through: a written estimate that lists what's included, what it costs, and how long it takes. If it's more than you'd hoped, we'll show you which parts are must-do and which can wait, or split it into phases.

Kitchen, bathroom and basement plumbing projects in Montgomery, Chester, Bucks, Delaware and Philadelphia counties, and across the bridge in South Jersey.
On the edge of that? Ask. We'll tell you honestly.
Ballpark estimator
Rough ranges for our area, so you're not guessing before we've met. Every house is different; the real number comes in writing after the visit.
Remodeling, done calmly
Kitchens, bathrooms and basements from the first walk-through to the last coat of paint, plus plumbing repairs and water heaters. Ballpark ranges are on the home page; the real number comes in writing after the visit.
Emergencies
Burst pipe, no hot water, sewage backing up, water where it shouldn't be. Shut the main off if you can (we'll talk you through it on the phone), then call. Remodeling is most of what we do, but the plumbing side is where we started, and it still gets answered.

Inviting someone into your home should never feel awkward, rushed, or uncomfortable.
If you've ever walked away from a contractor conversation feeling unheard, pressured, or talked down to, you're not alone. We hear this from women homeowners all the time. That's exactly why built D N E Contracting the way she did.
She's been in the plumbing trade for years, and she runs every consultation herself. You'll meet the person who will actually be in your home, not a salesperson.
Our goal is simple: you should leave the conversation feeling more confident, not overwhelmed. Confident about what's possible, what it might cost, how long it takes, and whether we're the right fit for you.
